The device targets industrial users who lost their AR platforms when Microsoft discontinued HoloLens 2 and Magic Leap shuttered its first-generation device. Manufacturing companies invested in AR training programs needed replacement hardware. HMS designed the SiNGRAY G2 specifically for these enterprise customers who require reliable AR solutions for daily operations. The headset launches with 1920×1080 Micro-OLED displays per eye, 90 Hz refresh rates, and a 47-degree diagonal field of view.

Frontline.io CEO Itzhak Pichadze addressed the market gap directly: “The disruptions that the discontinuation of HoloLens 2 and Magic Leap 1 caused showed us a significant opportunity to fill a much-needed gap in the industry.” The partnership eliminates complex software installation processes that typically delay AR deployments. Workers can use the headset immediately without IT department configuration or lengthy setup procedures. The pre-installed platform supports digital twin technology, allowing technicians to interact with virtual machinery models while maintaining visual contact with physical equipment.
Remote collaboration becomes possible through the system’s processing capabilities. Qualcomm’s QCS8550 chipset with integrated Intel Movidius AI processing handles complex 3D model rendering in real time. Field technicians receive guided instructions from remote experts while working on actual equipment. The system maintains low latency during these collaborative sessions, preventing the delays that disrupt workflow in industrial environments.
HMS brings two decades of AI visual recognition experience to this AR hardware platform. The company provides enterprise-level AR glasses, VSLAM modules, and cloud-edge deployment services through vertical integration. This approach allows HMS to optimize hardware and software performance for specific industrial applications rather than generic consumer use cases.
The SiNGRAY G2 features a matte gray housing with red accent lines running along the device perimeter. Set among the pines and mountain vistas of Colorado, this home, designed by Robert Chisholm Architects, offers a calm, rooted experience of mountain living. The presence of the Indian Peaks wilderness is felt throughout the property, with each room framing the surrounding landscape in a way that feels intentional and unforced. The house is centered on a courtyard, which becomes a quiet focal point, pulling daylight and fresh air deep into the living spaces. The arrangement of rooms gently separates social and private life, allowing the home to function for both gathering and solitude without ever feeling closed off.
The living areas use glass expanses to draw the horizon inside, keeping the palette quiet and the lines clear. The warmth of walnut floors and the simplicity of solid fir doors ground the interiors, while the sculptural presence of the fireplace adds a sense of permanence. The home feels neither ostentatious nor severe. Instead, it’s a space that allows the rhythms of daily life to unfold naturally, shaped by the views and the changing light.

Outdoor spaces are thoughtfully layered, each one shaped to suit a different mood or activity. The covered ipe deck is a sheltered place to sit with a morning coffee, while the rooftop terraces are open to sun and sky. The layout supports a seamless movement from indoor to outdoor, making it easy to feel part of the landscape at any time of day. Each terrace is ready for future comforts, and the views from every angle reinforce a sense of quiet connection to the land.
Practical details are given the same careful attention as the main living spaces. The garage is heated and spacious, with high ceilings and built-in storage that makes room for hobbies and gear. Dual EV chargers hint at a forward-thinking approach to daily needs, while radiant floors ensure warmth through the winter months. Even the dog wash station is thoughtfully placed, anticipating the realities of mountain living with a sense of quiet humor.
Stepping beyond the home, the edge of the forest is fire-mitigated and opens to a network of private trails. The immediate access to hiking and riding is a reminder that this is a house made for living with the land, not just looking at it. Close your eyes and imagine a laptop. Chances are, you thought of a sleek metal gadget like a MacBook Air, not a clunky IBM Thinkpad from 2005. Close your eyes and now think of a car, and the chances of you thinking of something sleek and wedge-shaped are close to zero. Sure, you would have imagined something aerodynamic – but nothing like the wedge-shaped Lancia Stratos HF Zero from 1970, or the Peralta S right here. This one-off machine takes the concept of “less is more” and applies it to automotive design in the most extreme way possible, creating an unbroken line from nose to tail that makes every other supercar look cluttered and overthought. Just like Apple’s laptop made everyone else scramble to match its impossible thinness, the Peralta S makes you wonder why every other exotic car needs so many creases, vents, and visual noise when you could just build a perfect geometric statement instead.
The Peralta S is what happens when design royalty gets a blank check and decides to prove that minimalism can be more dramatic than maximalism. Fabrizio Giugiaro, son of the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, took up the challenge of updating his father’s 1972 Maserati Boomerang concept, and the result is equal parts art and engineering flex. The original Boomerang looked like a UFO with wheels and made the Geneva Motor Show crowd gawk with its impossibly clean lines and radical geometry. Now, decades later, Fabrizio has taken his dad’s angular fever dream, filtered it through modern manufacturing techniques, and landed on something that manages to be both a respectful homage and a totally new beast. The Peralta S doesn’t hide its roots, but it definitely wears new shoes.

Underneath all that shiny hand-formed aluminum and carbon fiber, the Peralta S is built on the bones of a Maserati MC20. That means the power is real, not just for show. A 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, known as the Nettuno, sits right in the middle, cranking out 621 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough muscle to bolt this wedge from zero to 60 in 2.9 seconds, putting it squarely in supercar territory. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is basically telepathic, sending all that power to the rear wheels and letting the car howl past 200 mph if you can find a road or runway long enough.
But you won’t find doors here. The Peralta S ditches convention by using a single, huge, front-hinged canopy that makes the MacBook Air’s clamshell opening look pedestrian. It lifts up like the cockpit of a fighter jet, making every entrance and exit an event while maintaining those clean lines that define the entire design philosophy. Even the windows do their own thing, swinging up gullwing-style so you can let the breeze in while looking like you stepped out of a sci-fi comic. The wheels are a modern nod to the old Boomerang’s alloys, slotted and sculpted, and the rear wing pops up automatically at speed, which is both a flex and a nod to the Countach crowd.
Inside, the Peralta S keeps things futuristic without going full spaceship. The dashboard and controls are based on the MC20, but the steering wheel is custom, with turn signal buttons at 1 and 11 o’clock in a configuration that feels both nerdy and weirdly ergonomic. Leather and carbon fiber wrap the entire cabin, and there’s enough tech to make you feel like you’re piloting something special, not just driving another expensive toy. The interior follows the same minimalist philosophy as the exterior, proving that you can strip things down to their essence without losing functionality or luxury.
Carlos Peralta, a collector from Mexico, commissioned the car, turning what could have been a corporate design exercise into a love letter between generations of car nerds. Giugiaro’s family legacy is written all over the bodywork, but it’s also a statement about what custom car design can be when you don’t have to think about mass production, safety regulations, or the taste of the average millionaire. The Peralta S is pure expression, risky and weird and unapologetically cool, like if Jony Ive had designed supercars instead of phones.
The Peralta S is a museum piece that moves like a missile, a future classic that bows to its predecessor while flipping off the idea that all supercars have to look the same. It’s a one-off, so you’ll never see another on the road, but that’s kind of the point. Sometimes, design is about reminding everyone what’s possible when you let artists and engineers run wild with someone else’s wallet and a dream. The Peralta S is proof that the wedge age never really ended; it just needed a new Giugiaro to bring it back in style, one perfect line at a time.

The ITSUMO Dessert Shop in Batam, Indonesia, designed by kousou inc. Jakarta, in collaboration with Svetlin Petrov, represents an architectural intervention within the typical ruko (shop-house) typology of the city’s commercial areas. The project introduces a spatial and material strategy that contrasts with the surrounding built environment, known for its utilitarian structures and rapid-development aesthetics. Located in a busy port city context, the shop responds to its surroundings with a minimalist white facade, offering a visual counterpoint to Batam’s typically colorful and artificial material palette. This exterior treatment signals a shift in spatial experience, moving toward interior calm and spatial restraint.
A key feature of the design is an interior courtyard, integrated to bring natural light and controlled exposure to rain into the building. The courtyard acts as both a spatial and environmental element, supporting ventilation and creating a sensory connection to weather conditions. Hidden rain gutters, placed between the facade wall and skylight, allow rainwater to enter the courtyard during storms while controlling drainage through a secondary concealed channel.

Internally, the design moves away from decorative complexity, focusing on a monochromatic material palette dominated by black. To prevent the dark tones from creating a somber atmosphere, the interior incorporates variations in texture and finish. Materials such as natural stone, stained wood, and metal contribute to a layered and tactile quality. Exposed gray concrete surfaces and brown-toned elements provide contrast and depth within the overall composition. The interior layout positions a central work and display area while preserving and exposing parts of the original building structure. This approach creates continuity between past and present states of the site. The decision to leave portions of the original structure visible reflects an interest in material honesty and site-specific adaptation.
The design process followed an iterative model, with continuous dialogue between the architects at kousou inc. Jakarta, client, and construction team. The project required extensive material research and sample production to achieve the desired tactile and visual effects, particularly for the facade textures and interior finishes.
In contrast to ITSUMO’s other locations, the Batam project employs stricter geometry and sharper formal language. This decision aligns with the project’s goal of creating site-specific identities for each ITSUMO outlet while maintaining brand consistency.
The project positions architecture as a tool for spatial transformation within dense, function-driven urban contexts. Through restrained material selection, attention to detail, and integration of environmental factors such as rain and light, the ITSUMO Dessert Shop presents an example of how commercial spaces can adopt a design-driven approach to reframe user experience and architectural presence in a rapidly developing urban setting.

iPhones are built to last, yet almost every one of us prefers to keep them secure inside bulky phone cases. While there’s nothing wrong with doing so, it can at times add unnecessary weight and make the phone look less sleek. Even then, there is no dearth of iPhone cases that can do everything from protecting the phone to wirelessly charging it, and giving you a space to showcase your likes and personality. However, few designs have explored the idea of transforming the back of the case into a dynamic LED light show with a retro twist.
Picdance has been ahead of the curve in this department with its iPhone case featuring an interactive LED matrix screen on the back. Since the advent of phones and their accessories, people are always in the hunt for phone cases that suit their style and represent their mood; Picdance, with its customized case, tabs into just this sentiment, giving the users a drop-resistant phone case where they can customize the pixel art to suit mood and style.

According to information, it was back in 2023-24 that Picdance and KiwiDesign collaborated for this iPhone case that was designed to be way more personalized and playful for the Z generation. Carrying on the notion of “personality, creativity, and quality,” KiwiDesign has conceptualized a refined variant of the case that can make your iPhone truly unique. It provides a programmable 16×16 LED screen on the back of a rubberized case featuring bold blue colorway. It is customizable to enjoy interactive games, watch the LEDs dance to the rhythm of the music, notify about messages, and even turn your favorite photo into a pixel-style icon using the Picdance app, to flaunt it on the back of your phone.
Designed for Picdance, the smart iPhone case with LED matrix screen is functional as well as aesthetically appealing. It is compatible with iPhone 15 Pro and later, and despite this integrated screen is only 3.6mm thick, which shouldn’t add much bulk to the phone, yet achieve multiple functions that make the case back playable and practical. Besides the features like a mic module inside the case, which picks the rhythm of the song you’re playing on the phone and depicts it on the LED screen, the Picdance smart iPhone case is like any other case with a nice shielding body and camera bump protection.
All the ports and buttons are easily accessible with the case on, while the interactive screen on the back adds fun with call reminders, message prompts, and gaming assistance. The existing smart LED art display iPhone case from Picdance sells for roughly $90, so anything new in this league should be around the same price point, unless the LED Matrix screen does more than what we have discussed.

There’s a moment in every heated Overwatch match when the urge to type “Group up!” surges, but you’re caught, literally, with your hands full. Or maybe you’re in the middle of a high-stakes raid, your squad is teetering on chaos, and you need to send a strategic message, except you’re fumbling for the right key, squinting at the screen, or worse, you’ve just been ambushed mid-sentence. The reality is that multiplayer gaming is as much about communication as it is about reflexes, and yet, our hardware hasn’t caught up with our social needs. That’s where the Fintin Xpander comes crashing through the wall like the Kool-Aid Man of tactile tech.
Let’s talk about the most criminally overlooked gap in gaming: frictionless, in-the-moment typing. Voice chat is great if you want your entire household to hear your trash talk, but sometimes, text is the only way to strategize on the fly, especially for those who game in shared spaces (or just value a little privacy). The Xpander is a pocket-sized marvel built by ONECOM, and it’s not a keyboard in the traditional sense. It’s a structured mini QWERTY system that condenses 36 keys onto just 6 tactile buttons, each designed for blind operation. You don’t need to see it; you just need to feel it, which makes it a godsend for visually impaired gamers, but also for anyone who’s ever tried to type “gg” on a controller and ended up sending “ggrrrr.”

This isn’t just a boon for accessibility; it’s a genuine productivity hack for anyone who’s ever felt the social lag between thought and typed word.
Here’s the kicker: the Xpander isn’t chained to a single platform. It plays nicely with DualSense-enabled PCs, iPhones, iPads, and most Bluetooth devices, instantly expanding its utility beyond gaming. Messaging in Discord while streaming? Done. Quick in-game translation for that global squad? The Xpander has built-in AI-powered transcription and translation on tap, and it’s genuinely fast. Latency is kept to under 20 milliseconds, which puts it in the same ballpark as pro gaming peripherals, and the battery is rated for 30 hours of continuous use, enough for even the most dedicated marathons.
The Xpander essentially plugs a hole in the social fabric of gaming. Text chat is often the first casualty in a controller-based setup, relegated to clunky on-screen keyboards or ignored altogether. That’s not good enough for modern multiplayer. What do you, as a human, do when your battery’s down? You rest, you sit, you recover, right? Well, quirky designer Muddycap designed what I can only describe as one of the most visually punny chairs ever. The Low Battery Chair comes with a design that most people know too well. It looks exactly like the low-battery icon on your phone. The battery itself forms the base and backrest, while the battery level acts as the cushion. Clever, but not as clever as the fact that the chair comes in two versions!
The two versions, in yellow and red respectively, pay tribute to the two scary battery notifications – one when it’s low, and another when it’s critical. Both chairs have different heights, corresponding to the battery level too! So choose the chair you want (probably based on how tired you feel) and sit on it, so that you can recharge your own battery and go about your day!

Muddycap is responsible for some of the most bizarrely brilliant chairs I’ve seen on the internet. The IG account has a way of turning practically anything into a chair, imagining everyday objects, icons, and experiences into seating. The Low Battery Chair is perhaps my new favorite (after the Soul Chair we featured earlier this year), just because of the symbolism associated with humans and the phrase ‘low battery’ being synonymous for feeling tired and needing to rest your legs.
The dual chair design is clever too – the yellow one is slightly higher, working more like a high stool, while the red one lets you sit lower, and maybe more comfortably. The chairs feature a molded outer layer (probably plastic?), with the pouffe-shaped leather cushions placed strategically in the center. Now if only Muddycap made a ‘Fully Charged’ chair with a high cushion in green…

GFG Style rolls out Peralta S, a reflective supercar with a mirror-polished aluminum frame and a design that takes after the Maserati Boomerang. To debut at the Monterey Motorsports Festival on August 16th, 2025, the vehicle was first shown at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico on March 22nd, 2025. It is the first one-off supercar made by the Italian car design company, GFG Style, created for a Mexican car collector named Carlos Peralta and his two sons, Juan Carlos and Nicolas. From the get-go, the body of the reflective supercar Peralta S mimics the surroundings because of the handmade mirror-polished aluminum covering the entire frame.
It gives the vehicle both a gleaming and silver look, as if the windows and the frame were one, turning the supercar into a monolithic ride. The driver steps inside the vehicle by lifting up the entire top part called the dome. The side windows can open separately, moving upwards like gull wings, and from the side, the reflective supercar Peralta S resembles a silver bullet, drawn from the singular-looking silhouette it has from the front to the back. When viewed from above, however, the vehicle features a teardrop shape, still glinting because of its mirror-polished body.

If one is to look for the lights around GFG Style’s reflective supercar Peralta S, they can find them hidden underneath the vehicle, both in the front and the back. When the driver fires up the ride, the rear lights appear within a glowing effect dubbed the shadow light. Then, the rear spoiler also lifts up to allow for better airflow and style, and when the vehicle isn’t used, the spoiler stays hidden. The company says that the only parts of the reflective supercar Peralta S that aren’t made from aluminum are the front spoiler, rear diffuser, and side sills. It is because these are forged from carbon fiber, making them lightweight and helping the vehicle speed away without adding a drag.
Inside the reflective supercar Peralta S, GFG Style brings back the look and colors of the vehicles from the 1970s. First off, the design team covers the seats and the dashboard in leather, refining them with a metallic chrome effect to continue the mirror-like exterior frame. The bucket seats wrap around the driver and passenger, and the steering wheel comes with built-in car controls, which is a modern touch from the design team. For the center console, there aren’t any frills or advanced technologies that are now common in modern cars. Instead, the design has a back-to-basic approach with the knobs and controls, colored in silver to mimic the mirror-polished aluminum body.

The reflective supercar Peralta S by GFG Style has strong ties to the Maserati Boomerang in the 1970s. The designer of the 1972 vehicle is the renowned Italian automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, and his son, Fabrizio Giugiaro, designed the Peralta S, drawing the design influences of his automobile from his father’s work. The Maserati Boomerang had a wedge shape, a series of sharp angles, and a futuristic look, three design elements that the reflective supercar Peralta S shares. The Maserati model, however, was just a concept car, unlike the Peralta S. During its time, the Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed vehicle was ahead of its time in terms of design. Most of the cars then had rounder and softer bodies, but the Maserati Boomerang owned its semi-rectangular frame.
It also embodied flat surfaces, straight lines, and a pointed front, which only came out over the years. Inside the Maserati model, the steering wheel and the dashboard were combined into a single unit, and the gauges and controls were placed inside the steering wheel. Then, the wheel itself turned around the instruments, which was found novel at the time. The vehicle also had a low roofline, and Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the body to look like a triangle from the side. Another feature that the reflective supercar Peralta S shares with the Maserati Boomerang is the two doors and the seating for two people. Then, under the body of the Fabrizio Giugiaro-designed vehicle is the Maserati MC20 platform, which means that the engine, including the twin-turbo V6, wheels, and other parts are the same as those in the MC20. So far, the reflective supercar Peralta S is a one-off vehicle from GFG Style.
