The engineered wood exterior wraps around an interior flooded with natural light through carefully placed windows. Built on a double-axle trailer, this home travels anywhere while feeling permanently rooted in thoughtful design.
The bedroom doubles as your living room, and it’s genius. Most people would see this as a compromise, but the designers turned it into the home’s greatest strength. Your bed becomes a sofa during the day. Built-in shelving keeps books and belongings organized without cluttering sight lines. The mounted TV feels natural rather than awkward, creating an entertainment space that works whether you’re relaxing or sleeping. This flexible plan means one room serves your entire day.

LEGO Speed Champions is one of my favorite series from the house of the brick builder. The collaborative LEGO sets under this series are unmatchable, and motorheads like me just wait for the next to arrive on he shelves. In the past, the Speed Champions have had our team with the McLaren MCL37 model, left us in awe of the Ferrari SF-24 Formula 1 car, and bettered it all with the complete 2024 Formula-1 Series.
Now, The LEGO Group has recreated the multi-million dollar Bugatti Centodieci hyper sports car that is 20 kg lighter than the Chiron. According to Bugatti Managing Director, Wiebke Stahl, the scaled-down car model “captures the unmistakable character of the full-scale hypercar and incorporates many of its defining features in intricate detail. Thanks to our collaboration with the LEGO Group, more people than ever before can experience this extraordinary car. It is a wonderful way to inspire the next generation of Bugatti enthusiasts and LEGO builders.”

The 1,600 hp W16-powered Centodieci is a very rare hypercar with only 10 currently existing. Putting it together in LEGO brick form is going to be an exciting activity over the weekends. Just that you know, the hypercar entered production in 2021 and delivered the last unit in December 2022, it is that rare. This LEGO replica, measuring just over 6.0 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches tall, is somewhere between a 1:28 and 1:32 scale model. The level of detailing done by the LEGO team is commendable, with features of the car mirrored perfectly. These include the razor-sharp headlights, horseshoe grille, overhanging rear wing, aggressive rear diffuser, and the pair of tailpipes on each rear end.
This one replicates the final build of the car done in Quartz White with black accents. Those wheels are done exactly as the real ones on the Centodieci, which makes the set event more juicy. Talking of the interior, it is also a spitting image of the real thing with blue accents defining the inside build. Compared to the real model that was built over quite a few months and cost millions, this LEGO build can be put together in a matter of minutes if you follow the instructions carefully. Once put together, the Speed Champions model can be sported on a stand or placed on your desk or shelf like any other miniature car.
To complement the detailed Bugatti Centodieci set, LEGO has added a minifigure of an upmarket lady. The 291-piece Speed Champions set has launched globally on August 1 for $27 from the official LEGO website and at LEGO Stores. For a LEGO collector and motorhead, this is a no-brainer, since your Speed Champions collection is going to shine with the Centodieci in the middle.

The year is 2077. America’s coastal cities are half-submerged, corporations have replaced governments, and somewhere in the neon-drenched streets, this monstrous Lincoln Continental slices through the perpetual rain like a phantom blade. At least, that’s the world this concept car seems built for. This brutalist reimagining strips away decades of increasingly forgettable Lincoln design language and replaces it with something that looks like it rolled straight out of Night City.
“Machine built for power brokers, corporate diplomats, and underworld kings” reads the designer Radek Štěpán’s brief, acknowledging the Continental’s somewhat murky history as the preferred transportation for both legitimate power and its shadowy counterpart. The Continental, after all, was the car in which JFK was assassinated, the ride of choice for fictional mob boss Don Corleone, and a staple in countless gangster films. This concept doesn’t run from that complicated legacy; it leans into it with a menacing grin and blacked-out windows.

Hovering mere inches from the ground, the body of the LNCLN Continental concept creates an illusion of impossible physics, as if gravity itself bends to the will of whoever commands this vehicle. The massive wheels tuck into geometric wheel wells that look like they were cut with a laser, while the proportions are deliberately exaggerated, with a long hood, truncated rear, and a greenhouse that looks like it could withstand small arms fire. The visual weight distribution creates tension, making the car look fast even when standing still, like a sprinter in the blocks waiting for the gun.
Origami-like body panels fold and intersect with mathematical precision, referencing the clean, straight lines of the iconic 1960s Continental while pushing them to their logical extreme. Every surface is planar and deliberate, creating a faceted shell that catches light in dramatic ways. The giant “CONTINENTAL” typography spanning the sides isn’t subtle, but subtlety isn’t what this car is about. It’s a declaration, a statement of identity that turns the vehicle into a rolling logo. The designer has cleverly reduced the Lincoln branding to a minimalist “LNCLN” at the rear, as if in this future, vowels are an unnecessary luxury.
Thin slashes of light cut through the darkness where this vehicle roams, with precise LED strips providing just enough illumination without breaking the monolithic surfaces. There are no fake vents, no decorative chrome, no superfluous styling elements. Everything serves the brutalist aesthetic, creating a vehicle that communicates power through minimalism rather than ornamentation. The black wheel covers with their white “MONOLITH” branding complete the look, suggesting this car doesn’t even need to show off its brake calipers or suspension components.
Back in the 1960s, when the Continental was in its prime, American luxury meant something distinct from European sensibilities. It wasn’t about handling Nürburgring corners or hand-stitched dashboard leather; it was about presence, authority, and unapologetic scale. This concept recaptures that distinctly American luxury attitude and catapults it into a speculative future. If Lincoln ever wants to recapture its former glory, this is the kind of bold thinking it needs, a design that acknowledges its heritage while refusing to be trapped by it. Until then, I’ll be dreaming about this cyberpunk Continental showing up in the next season of a prestige HBO drama, carrying some terrifying corporate overlord to their next hostile takeover.

The Art Dome Pavilion by Korean-German designer Hyunje Joo rises from the sands of Maengbang Beach in Samcheok, South Korea, as a transparent arc that flickers with movement and light. Commissioned by the Samcheok Tourism & Culture Foundation, the pavilion is an ephemeral installation which takes shape as a structural gesture, comprising 8,000 acrylic pixels that shift and shimmer with the coastal breeze.

Located along the eastern coastline in Gangwon-do, artist Hyunje Joo’s Art Dome Pavilion responds directly to its environment. Each transparent pixel is layered by hand and catches sunlight and sea breeze to create a surface that feels in motion even when still. As daylight shifts, the refractions on the dome’s surface alternate between barely-there glints and saturated waves of color, reflecting the beach’s changing light conditions.
Visitors approaching the Art Dome Pavilion encounter a tactile boundary between land and sky, where the layered material refracts the surrounding scene. The sense of enclosure is delicate — more optical than physical — and the effect is quietly immersive. From inside the dome, the surrounding landscape dissolves into luminous fragments.

Hyunje Joo’s use of repetition and transparency forms the conceptual and structural basis for the Art Dome Pavilion. The 8,000 stacked components create a continuous, curved surface without relying on traditional cladding or framing systems. Instead, the installation depends on massing and careful alignment, allowing the material itself to define both structure and experience.
Rather than attempting to dominate the coastline, the pavilion exists in dialogue with its surroundings. Its curved footprint traces a subtle arc along the beach, framing views while remaining partially translucent. The shape encourages visitors to circle, enter, and dwell, offering varied perspectives that shift with each step.

While the pavilion’s geometry remains fixed, its appearance is always changing. This mutability reinforces its symbolic role as a gathering point for personal aspirations. According to the client, the Samcheok Tourism & Culture Foundation, the installation reflects a broader hope: that visitors’ dreams and desires will shimmer through, each distinct in color and tone, much like the shifting pixels themselves.
Though minimal in palette and form, the Art Dome Pavilion delivers a reflective and porous spatial experience that’s at once open and enclosed. Hyunje Joo’s design invites repeated encounters, where the viewer’s position, the wind, and the weather all shape what the experience becomes.

Think back to the year 1901 – Queen Victoria passes away, handing down the legacy of her empire to her son, King Edward. This is considered to be the ‘decline’ of British Imperialism, but for most Londoners, it represented a time of hope and change. This was when a lot of modern-day inventions came about. The modern wristwatch was made in this time, cars became popular as roads moved from horse-drawn carriages to actual fuel-guzzling automobiles, and electricity finally became a mainstay in homes. The movie camera was just invented, creating a burgeoning film industry… As was the radio. This was, while remnants of the past still existed. Penny-farthing cycles, candles and gas lamps, post offices, et al.
Sure, one can argue that post offices still exist today, but for that time, the dichotomy between old and new must have been truly fascinating. The buildings represented classical Victorian architecture, but cobbled roads were increasingly becoming optimized for cars rather than horses. Pavements or ‘footpaths’ were a fairly recent invention. Watch a Sherlock Holmes episode and you’ll get a fair idea of the time. It’s no wonder that the Brits today fondly look back at that era as ‘the greatest era’ of Britain in recent history… and it also explains why Bricky_Brick chose this one particular moment in time for their LEGO MOC (My Own Creation).

“The proposed model is composed of a four-storey architectural ensemble, carefully designed to capture the essence of the city and its life in constant movement,” says Bricky_Brick, a seasoned LEGO Ideas veteran. “Inspired by the Victorian aesthetic, but without neglecting the evolution towards the Edwardian that characterizes the turn of the century, this set invites builders to immerse themselves in a London where architecture, fashion and habits began to transform in just a couple of decades.”
The building absolutely captures the average London urban microcosm in sheer detail. The front facade is your bustling street, complete with Victorian and Edwardian architectural details featuring roofs, columns, and motifs that are both old as well as new. Flip the build over, however, and you’re greeted with a literal behind the scenes, featuring more than 13 different mini dioramas of old British life.
The scenes are rich with cultural elements. Fireplace living rooms, decked up Victorian ladies, coppers (with their iconic domed caps), rats (it’s London after all), vintage cars, typewriters, and people dressed in the fashion appropriate to those times. The front and back collectively showcase a whole gamut of London society. You’ve got a traditional post office, a poster/signage shop, a grocery store, a luthier (someone who makes stringed instruments), a street photographer, a policeman, and something you probably only see in Britain anymore – passage vaults, or arches connecting buildings while still giving enough space underneath for people and cars to cross.
Look further inside and you’re greeted with the subtleties of the modern London lifestyle. The interiors show all the rooms of your average London home, including a living room, reading room, stately bedroom, kitchen, toilet, and even two attics. The terrace (or observation area) is open to access too, with a telescope that would allow you to admire the starry skies of the biggest city on the banks of the Thames.
Bricky_Brick doesn’t mention the brick-count of this LEGO build but it’s probably somewhere in the 4000+ range given just the sheer level of detail here. The set includes 12 minifigures, dressed in garb appropriate for the times while still depicting nuances in the social stratification of different people living in the city. The elites are dressed flamboyantly, while the middle and lower class are dressed humbly. People in professions are clad in their appropriate uniforms too, like the grocer, the copper, and the sign painter.
“The set invites you to discover the differences – and continuities – between the Victorian and Edwardian eras: fashion changes, technology advances, but the essence of London life remains in the bustle of its streets, the warmth of its homes and the creativity of its inhabitants,” Bricky_Brick says.
Bricky_Brick’s MOC currently stands at the 7,269-vote mark on the LEGO Ideas platform. It’s just a few votes shy of hitting the 10,000 mark, which then gets it the unique distinction of going ‘into review’, where the LEGO internal team judges the MOC for creativity and feasibility. Installed along the edge of the Ebro River in Logroño, Spain, Habitar el Río by architect Erazo Pugliese creates a shaded pavilion for rest, observation, and exchange within a natural and urban landscape. Designed for Concéntrico 2025, the International Festival of Architecture and Design that annually activates urban spaces through temporary interventions, the hand-built structure connects an unused concrete dock with the fluctuating waterline of the river, transforming an overlooked passageway into a site for ecological awareness and collective inhabitation.
Designed to host the rituals of rest, conversation, and observation, the structure also adapts to its surrounding environment. A southern facade opens to the river and shields the space from direct sun, and plywood panels on the northern side block glare and facilitate passive ventilation. These choices ensure the structure remains both shaded and thermally comfortable throughout the day, using natural airflow to dissipate heat absorbed by the concrete slab.

Conceived by Paris-based architect Erazo Pugliese within the framework of the festival’s theme, which foregrounded climate, water, food, and social ritual, Habitar el Río aims to reveal latent possibilities in public space. Positioned between a hard concrete pier and the seasonally changing riverbank, the pavilion reclaims an area once used for bathing and now reduced to a transient corridor.
The structure is built in collaboration with students from the Faculty of Architecture at CESUGA (Centro de Estudios Universitarios de Galicia), combining prefabrication in A Coruña with on-site assembly in Logroño. During its construction, the design adapted further in response to how the site was already being used. The team added a second bench to accommodate canoeists who used the platform to prepare equipment and instruct newcomers.
After the festival’s conclusion and the dismantling of all temporary works, Habitar el Río was relocated to the village of Viniegra de Abajo, along the river Urbión in the mountains near Logroño, where it continues to serve as a modest retreat by the water.
