The five-meter-high <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.designboom.com\/tag\/interactive-installation\/\">installation<\/a><\/strong> is composed of a spiral of mist and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.designboom.com\/tag\/light-installation\/\">light<\/a><\/strong>, creating an immersive, site-specific environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The work investigates the interplay of light and atmosphere through a spatial structure that integrates optical and environmental effects. Mist and illumination combine to form shifting visual conditions, placing visitors within an altered perceptual field. The installation references microscopic observations, electromagnetic wave behavior, and atmospheric dynamics, while also addressing themes of transformation and continuity.<\/p>\n<p>all images courtesy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancome-usa.com\/\">Lanc\u00f4me<\/a> unless stated otherwise<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wow wow-yellow\">Karolina Halatek\u2019s installation interprets Lanc\u00f4me\u2019s emblem<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Halatek is a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/karolinahalatek.com\/\">Polish visual artist<\/a><\/strong> whose practice centers on large-scale light installations and immersive environments. Her projects frequently involve collaborations with scientists and engineers to achieve technically complex results. Her work has been presented internationally across Europe, the USA, the Middle East, and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ascent was created and produced in collaboration with Somexing Artistic Agency for Lanc\u00f4me\u2019s Voyage of the Rose, an initiative that commissioned four international artists to interpret <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancome-usa.com\/\">the brand\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Absolue Rose emblem. Each installation combined art, science, and sustainable design within temporary spaces across China.
