The winning Professional entry in the Emerging Technologies<\/a><\/a> category is Avidbots Kas, <\/a><\/a>the next generation of cleaning solutions, addressing the limitations of outdated technology from PA Consulting Design & Innovation Team. The winning Student entry in Emerging Technologies went to Bark-Code <\/a>by Hanju Seo at the Imperial College London & Royal College of Art. Bark-Code is a scanning solution that generates a digital “fingerprint” for each tree trunk, it eliminates the reliance on costly physical tags, reducing barriers for family forest owners who wish to sustainably manage their forests. <\/p>\n

The jury team for the 2025 Core77 Design Awards Emerging<\/a> Technologies<\/a><\/a> <\/a>category was led by Hussain Almossawi, Principal at Mossawi Studios. Joining Almossawi on the jury were Andrew Turner, Director at Fracture Studios, Yarsep Hanedi, Sr. Footwear Designer at Adidas, Firas Allouch, Creative Director at Keep Creating, and Zakaria Adref, Senior Performance Footwear Designer at Altra Running.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Core77 Design Awards Emerging Technologies<\/a><\/a> <\/a>category honors systems, services, research, hardware, or software products created with the aid of recently created or developed software and hardware technologies. Examples include projects that incorporate the use of artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), blockchain technologies, robotics, biometrics, advanced materials, or new production processes. <\/p>\n
