By experimenting with rack-and-pinion arrangements, he&#8217;s designed these expanding shapes:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to 3D print your own, he&#8217;s made the files available, for free, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.printables.com\/model\/1305045-expanding-3-4-5-triangle\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it might help if you understood how they work in the first place, so you can modify them as needed to suit your own designs.
